We had to finish putting Candy Canes of the tree:
Decorate Christmas Cookies:
Made Gingerbread House:
Christmas eve we watched "Joy to the World" and talked about Christ's birth and the importance of it. The next morning Zach and Uncle Ron were awake first. We began opening gifts.
During this time, as of course, traditions are important. Hre are some of the traditions that we continued this christmas:
From the Madrishins:
- Pajamas on Christmas Eve. A tradition of getting new pajamas on Christmas Eve was continued
- 12 Days of Christmas. Grandma and Grandpa began the 12 days of Christmas for our children. Jen remembered how exciting it was when she was a kid to go through it. The kids loved going through it this year. It was great fun and great tradition I am sure they will look forward to next year.
- Jolly Old Santa Clause. Read on Christmas Eve. As the kids get older they are able to sit more quietly through it. But they love it and enjoy looking through the pictures to find particuliar "brownies."
From the Carters:
- Games on Christmas Eve. Though we didn't open up a new game this year, we made sure that we played one together. This year it was Phase 10, or more like Phase 4, because it was taking a long time and we quit early.
- Nerf Guns. This year we were sent 100 bullets for nerf guns, so we first sat down at the TV, turned it on the news, and then attempted to shoot as many Democrats as we could.
- Christmas Message. Typically I am used to my Dad's wonderful christmas message. We also talked to our kids about Christ, we watched the video mentioned above, to better keep their attention. They seemed to enjoy it and think and be grateful of Christ.
We hope everybody had a great Christmas. We love you all and hope that you all have a great year next year.
